OUR VETERINARY DOCTORS

Dr. Gene Nightengale

Dr. GENE NIGHTENGALE was awarded the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Immediately following graduation he joined the staff of Buena Pet Clinic. July 2009 marked Dr. Nightengale's 24th year of caring for dogs and cats in our community. Dr. Nightengale is a past-president and former board member of the Southern Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. His special interest is reproductive problems of dogs but he also enjoys general medicine and surgery.

Dr. Kenneth Halbach

DR. KENNETH HALBACH graduated from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. He was raised on a Wisconsin dairy, hog and poultry farm where his desire to serve God's creatures began. A love of the western environment brought him to Tucson, where he earned Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Arizona before entering veterinary school. The majority of his career has been spent in bovine practice and he is a Certified Embryo Transfer Practitioner. Dr. Halbach returned to Tucson several years ago and spent 6 months modernizing his pet medicine skills at his alma mater. He is proud to serve all creatures great and small.

Dr. Katherine Conley 

Dr. KATHERINE CONLEY was awarded the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Saint George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her love for animals started at an early age with pet dogs, cats, rabbits, and ducks. In Northern California she raised lambs, steer, and worked in viticulture through her high school FFA chapter. Before veterinary school, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. She looks forward to continuing her passion and being a part of the Buena Pet Clinic Family.

VETERINARY CLINIC STAFF

Buena Pet Clinic is proud of our veterinary technicians. Our technician staff is comprised of Certified Veterinary Technicians and Animal Health Technicians that work as a team with our Veterinarians to provide the excellent patient care our clients and patients have come to expect. Our technicians are all well trained, dedicated and caring professionals with years of experience in the veterinary field. Their training and experience is an integral part of our ability to provide for your pets' medical needs. Buena Pet Clinic’s veterinary technicians love animals and it shows.
The Reception Staff at Buena Pet Clinic will help you set an appointment, check out when your visit is complete and address questions or concerns you may have about your pets. They are experienced and well versed in pet care, basic home care and husbandry and they can help you with advice about special diets and non-prescription items such as flea and tick prevention or grooming supplies. Our reception staff is an important link between our clients and the medical staff. When you call Buena Pet Clinic you can expect your call to be answered promptly and courteously with a minimum of waiting.
